Frequently asked questions
Is this internship for college credit?
Yes! Our internship program is designed for students seeking required internship or practicum hours through their college or university.
Is this a paid internship?
This is an unpaid internship for college credit. Interns receive hands-on experience, mentorship, portfolio-building opportunities, and real-world experience inside a rapidly growing embroidery and gifting brand.
Where is the internship located?
PRESH is based in Lexington, Kentucky, and no two days look exactly the same. Interns may work from our home studio, local coffee shops, photoshoots, pop-up events, or other creative spaces around Lexington. Most work is completed in person, with occasional remote tasks depending on the role.
What is the weekly time commitment?
Internship schedules are flexible and will be coordinated around your class schedule and internship requirements. Specific hours will be discussed during the interview process.
Will I work directly with Lily?
Yes! One of the unique parts of the PRESH Internship Program is the opportunity to work directly with Lily on real projects that help grow the business.
What will I actually be doing?
This isn't a "sit and watch" internship. You'll work directly with Lily on real projects including product launches, photoshoots, content creation, marketing campaigns, pop-up events, inventory, and day-to-day business operations.
Do I need prior experience?
Not necessarily! We're looking for motivated, dependable students who are eager to learn. Some roles (like Graphic Design) may require experience with specific software, but many positions focus more on attitude, creativity, and willingness to jump in.
Can I apply for more than one position?
Yes! We encourage you to apply for any roles that interest you. After reviewing applications, we'll match interns to the position where we believe they'll thrive and make the biggest impact. While each intern has a primary focus, everyone works together on real projects that help grow PRESH.
Can students from other colleges apply?
Yes! While we primarily recruit from the University of Kentucky, we also welcome applications from students at Transylvania University, Eastern Kentucky University, and Asbury University. If you attend another nearby college and are interested in the program, we'd still love to hear from you.
How long does the internship program run?
The PRESH Internship Program is a year-long commitment, running from the beginning of the Fall semester through the end of the Spring semester. This allows interns to experience multiple product launches, seasonal campaigns, pop-up events, and the day-to-day growth of a rapidly expanding small business.
When will I know if I've been selected for the internship?
Applications close on August 28. Candidates selected for interviews will be contacted during the first week of September, with final internship decisions made by mid-September.
